Enjoy wonderful and unique birding tours in the Yucatan Peninsula and Chiapas, Mexico
The Yucatan Peninsula with around 548 bird species is unique. This area is the most commonly visited by birders. The open setting makes birding easy with some spectacular concentrations and diversity of species where 80 per day could be identified, such as the Thicket Tinamou, Great Curassow, Ocellated Turkey, Black-throated Bobwhite, Lesser Yellow-Headed, Crane Hawk, Ornate Hawk-Eagle, Barred Forest-Falcon, Ruddy Crake, Rufous-Necked Wood-Rail, Spotted Rail, Yucatan Parrot, Yucatan Poorwill, Yucatan Nightjar, Vermiculated Screech-Owl, Black Catbird, Yucatan Woodpecker, Yucatan Jay, Yucatan Vireo, Mexican Antthrush, Orange Oriole and so on.
It is a wonderful birding and nature experience. The Yucatan Peninsula includes Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatan, is an expansive limestone Peninsula that extends northward into the Gulf of Mexico and eastward into the Caribbean Sea.

§Ó??Luis was really an excellent birding guide for my four days birding in the Riviera Maya area of the Yucatan Peninsula. My focus was on the endemics in this area of the Yucatan and I couldn§Ó??t have been more pleased with the results. Luis knew the exact locations where we had the best chance of seeing the endemics and I saw all of them except for the Yucatan Nightjar which was missed mainly since I didn§Ó??t do any birding at dusk/night. His knowledge of the bird songs/calls was excellent and he was truly a pleasure to be with the whole time. I highly recommend him for birding in the Yucatan!§Ó?? Again, it was a real pleasure to go birding with you and let me know iif I can be helpful in any other way!
All my best,

Hi Luis Thank you for a very good days birding. I exceeded my target of 10 new birds and the motmot was top of the list .Your ability to turn sounds into bird views exceeded any other guide I have been out with. I would recommend you to anyone who requires guiding in the Yucatan.
Yours faithfully

Hi bob- as we discussed, Luis ku Is the best birding guide in the Yucatan Peninsula. He has taken out some of the best birders in north america and has been on the winning team of the Yucatan world series of birding. He can take you to close in areas or some that are a few hours away.
